is the design studio of artist Elise McMahon. Waste & Sustainability is the theme throughout their creations and projects.
Their shop in Hudson hosted a holiday party November 2022, as they wrap up their presence at 344 Warren St.
As I walked through the space for the first time, it was easy to feel the consciousness of material, creation, and connection. Between the people who congregate from Elise's projects, to the awareness what remains after art projects are completed.
It was refreshing to see Elise's approach to children in her studio. Despite the NYC gallery vibes, children are invited to enjoy the space, and play.
As an observer, it's clear that Elise wants art and design to be accessible to everyone, especially children. They're encouraged to create, and be part of the conversation.
It makes sense for someone so sustainability conscious to be aware of the future generations, not only for what they inherit, but how they interact with this wild world around us.
